Cosmology - Is the scientific study of the large scale properties of the universe as a whole it endeavors to use the scientific method to understand the origin, evolution and ultimate fate of the entire Universe. Quantum mechanics - the branch of mechanics that deals with the methematical description of the motion & interaction of subatomic particles incorporating the concepts of quantization of energy, wave- particle duality, the uncertainty prainciple, & the correspondence principle. Quantum theory - is the theoretical basis of modern physics that explaine the nature and behavior of matter & energy. or the atomic & subatomic level . Plank wrote a mathematical equation involving units of energy which he called quantum. Solar astronomers - spend their time analyzing a single star our sun. According to NASA ‘'The quantity & quality of light from the sun varies on time scales from milli- seconds in billions of years. '’Understanding those changes can help scientists recognize how Earth is affected. The sun also helps us to understand how other stars work, as it is the only stars close enough to reveal details about its surface. Galrctic astronomers- study our galaxy, the Milky way, while extrogalactic astronomers peer, outside of it to determine how these collections of stars from, changes and die. (The university of wisconsin - Madison says Estatilisning patterns in the distribution, compositon, & physical conditions of stars and gas traces the history of our evolving home galaxy. Cosmologists -focus on the universe in the entirety, from its violent birth in the Big Bang to its present evolution, all the way to its eventual death. Astronomy is often (not always) about vesy concrete, obsevable things, whereas cosmology typically involves large scale properties purely theoretical things like string theory dark matter & dark energy, and the motion of multiple universes. Astrometry - the most ancient branch of astronomy is the measure of the sun, moon & planets. The precise calculations of these motuions allows astronomers in other fields to model the birth & evolution of planets & stars, and to predict events such as eclipses meteor shower, and the oppearance of comets. According to the Planetary society. ‘'Astrometry is the oldest method used to detect extrasolar. planets, '’though it remains a defficult process. Astronomy- is a natural science that studies celestial objects and phenomena. It uses mathematics, physics, and chemistry in order to explain their origin and evolution. Objects of interest include planets, moons, stars, nebulae, galaxies, and comets.
